When fishing, what is your nicknames for fish?
When fishing, what is your nicknames for fish, and what is your “victory cry” when you hook one?
Whenever I feel a large bass, I usually say “that’s a hog”, and if I feel a large catfish I usually say “that’s a catty”. If I’m catching fish and then want one last cast before leaving I say “one last hoorah”

“Got one” or “Get the net x5” but when I say get the net it’s usually not required. I always overestimate the size of fish.

I say, "There she is!!!" No matter the species, size or sex. As kids, We used to always call the big one, George! Don't know why.
"Got em!" Immediately followed by lots of grunting and struggling during trophy rockfish season 🤣🤣🤣

I'm a Noles fan, so I yell, "GO NOLES!!!" I had my Grandson convinced that if he said "go gators" the fish wouldn't bite. Once he had a big cat on the line, when he got it to the boat he said "Get the net!! GO GATORS!!!"
The fish dropped off the line. He looked at me in bewilderment and dejectedly said "it's real, isn't it?"
I just replied "Yep" and that was that. GO NOLES Tight Lines
Dang fish, no time for my beer🐟🍺
If you are a bass fisherman from the South you call them Hogs as in..." Sure crossed that hogs eyes huh huh"..
Walter. Of course. (On Golden Pond)
Dam the big one got away.
If I find I'm into a strong obstinate fighter (thinking it's a biggie) "It's a beast from the deep!" "Yee-Ha! "
Big speckled trout "It's got shoulders".
