I live in Brownsville myself and do mostly surf fishing except for a few times a year when I hire a local guide and head up the the Laguna.
Looks like you're fishing off of the old causeway. What else did you catch, how many and size?

i watched a guide come in today he had four charters on board, brought in 10 fish mostly specs 1 red just legal,.. a lot of the specs in the 16-17 range so things will get easier i hope best regards
