Crappie fishing that time of year in my lake should find the fish moving toward the back ends of creeks and rivers, toward shallow water. They're thinking about the spawn and moving toward the shallows you where you normally find them spawning. If you can find causeways and bridges with rip rap rock in these shallower spots you should find Crappie. I like to set my boat up or bank fish where a bridge crosses and narrows things down to where all the fish moving shallow have to pass under. Take several rods and Fish a minnow under a cork on a couple rods at different depths and maybe one rod for casting a small jig or grub like a Bobby Garland. Remember Crappie feed looking up they will normally not feed on baits deeper than they are so keep trying different depths till you find where they are then set your floats to that depth. Ive had several rods out not getting a bite then find that depth and have to put all but one rod down just catching to many to handle more than one rod. Crappie might be in 20 ft. of water one day and 2 feet the next depending on weather so never think you're fishing to shallow even over deep water. Hope this helps some, it every lake is different but mostly Crappie patterns are close to the same. Crappie think about two things eating and spawning so keep that in mind

I would fish a baby shad in chartreuse colors near the grass lines with current.

Sometimes black crappie like to hang out near the rocks. Make your bait look lifelike.

Douglas, I'm not sure who your post was aimed at but it was kinda rude. Chit chat is part of fishing
