I’m headed to Breezy Point MN the first of July. Never been there and don’t know a thing about surrounding lakes. Love to bass fish. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum, the ice should be melted by then. (LOL). Lots of good lakes around there. Pretty resort, but a fun place to go. Tons of panfish.
There are lots of places to fish up there. Beautiful country. Lots of summer residents will be up there when you are so it will be busy. You should havea blast - that is a nice place.
Crow Wing County is the county the lake is in.
Link to Lakes in Crow Wing County ( there are 646 :) ) But most are pretty small (under a 200 acres) but I would suggest any of them over 500 acres with a public landing.
https://lakeplace.com/lakefinder/mn/crow-wingAlso, I use this feature from my phone ( there are lots of others too) but it tells you where the public landings are ( any lake with a public landing you can fish wherever you want) what the contours are, gives you fish types, water clarity, directions etc. It's from the DNR - it is not a FABULOUS site in terms of newest and greatest features but it will tell you everything you need to know.

Thank you. I will give you a call as the date gets closer. I really appreciate the offer.
Thanks. I’ll down load and take a look.
Hi Tom, Way back last August I gave a shout out for info regarding Pelican and area lakes. You were kind enough to share your phone number and told me to get in touch when the date gets close. We are doing an extended family event at Breezy Point. I will be coming up a little early with my boat (Ranger bass boat) to get some quality fishing time in before providing family boat rides :). We will arrive Sunday, June 27, and I get to fish through Wednesday. We will also have our kayaks in case that makes a difference. Then Thursday through Monday (Holiday weekend) we will be at Breezy Point.
Now to the point. We are looking for a nice place to tent camp on Pelican or somewhere in an hour or so radius. And then any fishing advice you can share. I’m from the St. Louis area and bass fish the Ozarks all the time. I’d be happy to get into some bass of any variety, especially smallmouth since coming north, walleyes, northerns, musky...
