Can’t wait for hard water to go away. Looking for early spring bass fishing techniques.

That makes 2 of us.
I’m daydreaming about using some techniques I haven’t used in a while. And maybe trying some new ones

Hang in there , won’t be long

In the spring I normally try to fish smaller baits. I've always had good luck with crank baits. Bombers shallow diver in spring crawfish color is a good place to start. Spinner baits and buzzbaits also.

Early spring or late winter for us in Nebraska. LOL! If you're talking Prespawn - I have success in our area of the country with Jerkbaits, Wiggle warts for moving baits. For soft plastics - ned rigs (Any z-man plastic or similar will work) and carolina rigs with a good 1.5 foot leader and a zoom fluke (Try different colors). Just my two cents but good luck!

I forgot to include Chatterbaits with trailers too. These Kick A** during that time of year for us also. Wait for a little wind/breeze and go to town on'em!

Great. I usually fish in the lakes around Lincoln. Yankee Hill is always good

What do you find most success with in early spring. I just retired and trying to get back to what works. Finally able to spend time fishing again

Here in Indiana a good bait is a black hair Doll Fly. 1/8oz. Fish it on spinning with 8# mono. Fluro if water clear. Can use braid with Fluro leaded. Fish it right after ice out and I mean right after. Have caught them with a small skim of ice still in middle of lake. Target north banks where sun shines the most. Fish slow with little hops. Don't think this will not catch biggins. PB on this set up was over 7 lbs. Set your drag right and your good to go, also they don't fight as hard because they are cold and that helps with a light rig.

Ben have you tried the dp&l power plant? Used to fish it with my uncle during hard water season. It always had open water
