I built 2 from 6 plastic pallet spruce the 40" x 48". Assembled them in a box fashioned style, drilled holes in all the corners, middle, any area that would need air out, water in, set them up to allow only bait fish access and not bigger fish. I screwed all them together with deck screws, to sink I secured a cement block inside before finalizing box. After weeks the algae starts growing on the inside and outside giving the newly hatched fry plankton to feed on with no risk to predator fish that will be lurking on the outside waiting for a quick meal. Very Eco friendly and will last a lifetime, also cabable to pick up and move anywhere

Those sound awesome! Great design! Hope you catch a lot off them. Have seen wood pallets used around piers in different designs triangle & straight line & offset. Home owners place when lake is in draw down on Lake Murray SC
