I’m new to fishing for bass in the winter, so I was curious what y’all liked to throw to get them during the colder months.
It normally only gets to 28f at the lowest here in south East NC so the water temp normally doesn’t get below 30f.

Jerkbait. IMO best cold water bait. Fish it very slow with good 4 to 6 second pauses before you twitch it again. Best ones are mega bass 110 or mega bass 110+1. But they are expensive.
Other good ones are Lucky Craft, Yo-Zuri
I fish Horry County (SC) ponds. Lately, I've been catching bass on Rapala original minnow- either jerk bait or the jointed one, black back with silver sides. I would call it more of a twitch and then a considerable pause rather than a jerk and a pause. I would assume our temperatures are similar. The kastmaster spoon has also been working well. I can't spend $15-$25 for a lure. I'm just too old for that. My wife says I'm still living in the sixties. I actually made a lure out of aluminum foil and a jig head. It worked!!!! My grandchildren are catching 1-2 lb bass on red worms and a bobber!
Hey PoopascoopaFTW, I was a show horse groom from age twelve until I graduated from college and was given a hat once that said "Super duper pooper scooper". Is that by any chance what your user name refers to?
If they arent deep jerkbaits
If they are tube fished deep and slow
Have caught em deep on drop shot.
Also Flutter spoons vertical.
Rapala jigging raps vertical
