Trout fishing I’m new to fishing . I’m wanting to fish for rainbow trout in this Sacramento area Bank fishing only. Any recommendations on where and what bait maybe best to use.

Welcome Zerb, i'm not from your area but around here i would use inline spinners like rooster tails or panther martins, or power bait on a size 8 or 10 hook, some would use smaller but i can't see good enough to tie on a smaller hook, that should get you started until someone from your area come's along with some better suggestions ,,,good luck

Welcome to the group, Zerb! I live in Livermore, a little south of Sacramento. I like looking at Fishing Reports from Sportsman's Warehouse. They keep them up to date in a timely manner :-)

Hey Z, you could try small Little Cleo's,but start with silver or gold colors, Blue Fox Vibrax in a #3 size without hair, Thomas Bouyant Spoon in brown trout color, and the easy to use Acme Kastmaster in a medium size in silver and gold colors. I have had success with all of these. Good luck and show us some of what you catch.
