If you have use for all of them, plenty of space to store them & they don't take food off your table I'll vote for you to keep them. If you're nuts you're twice as nutty as me. I only have 3. Tight lines.

I can see she might have a point with the canoe and Jon boat

My wife and some of my buddies KNOW I am nuts. I have 3 hard 14.5'+ boats and 3 inflatables. Probably 15 or so Outboards.

why sell a boat, she'll just spend the money on something she doesn't need

Keep all. At least one will be serviceable when you’re ready. Like you said, they’re for different applications.

I would trade in or sell the 14' kayak, aluminum canoe, and the 14' John boat. Maybe the 16' Porta-Bote. Than I would by the 12'6" Porta-Bote. Or if you want to go smaller get the 10'. They may even have a 8'. The 12' will let you go just about anywhere. I'm not to try and be bossy. I'm just offering you some support. I know what a nagging wife can be like.
I've got the 12.6' Porta-Bote with a 5hp all electric motor and I love it. Mine is the green one, that way he can take it bird hunting.

I share your love of boats...I have 9 that are for fishing, and 3 kayaks for playing in the river(could fish from them, but not really what they are for). Now granted, 5 of those 9 are one man types, but even they each have specific water they're meant for. Might be excessive in some folks eyes, but I often share and rarely does any one boat sit un-used a whole year, it can happen (like this past year !), but they each get their turn and perform as they were intended, therefore justifying their existence in my little fleet.

My siblings joke that I'm trying to catch up with my late father, who, after assembling 4 little kit rowboats, that used 3 inner tubes as flotation one year, proceeded to partner with a buddy to build "a real boat", the very next year......a 62' stern-wheeled steamboat !
I have yet to tell them that I actually have surpassed him in length, if you put all of mine end-to-end ! . But I am waaaay behind in # of people I can put on the water ! I believe the capacity on his was 52 passengers plus 3 crew, not sure.
It's a curable disease, this boat acquisition thing, but like so many maladies one can become infected with, one must desire a cure, before any remedy will work.

No desire, none at all, thanks.

You have my respect just for being able to accumulate 6 boats in one marriage.

With the Quagga and Zebra mussel infestation, at least hear in Southern California, you need a different boat for every lake you go to. Most of the lakes require a 35 day quarantine before you can launch. If I had the space, I would have at least five boats. I say keep 'm.

"If I had the space", and the money.
