Nice bass. I have never fished Perris but I often wondered about the fish. It is a beautiful lake just tucked into a couple of ridges.

Perris Lake about 3 years ago.

So my brother in law who is an avid fly fisherman comes down for a visit from Reno. Keep in mind, he would rather
go shopping with the wife than pick up a spinning rod and reel. So we get to the lake early and I suggest we try top water jigs. After about a half hour, he lands this big boy . A nice whopper of 11.4 lbs. I still hate him!

Does he still hate spinning gear?

Oh yea, only if he is with me in my boat would he use one. He has been fishing Pyramid Lake outside of Reno the past couple of weeks and absolutely KILLING it. He got a 15 lb cuthroat last week. Also had one day where he got a 12lb, 11lb and six other dinks from 6-9 lbs. He is really good, usually outfishes most of the guides up in that area. All out of a pontoon float. I truly admire him.
