I myself have used a No. 13 floating Rapala. Let it sit, give a little switch, side to side, reel a little, let it sit. If they are their they will hit it at this point. The next one that interests me is a Whopper Popper. Never used one but heard a lot of good things. Very expensive. Other lures that are fun from days past are the Hula Popper or the jitterbug . Top water lots of fun nothing like it. Good luck and have fun!

Kelly J and Devil's Horse. Check them out on YouTube. It doesn't get any easier.

Frog imitations many out there. I have 3 or 4 different brands myself. Can't wait to use them. But hard to beat that No. 13 Rap.

Looks like I may have talked you into that top water bait. I purchased what my fishing buddy recommended and have had a blast the last 1 1/2 weeks. Short lived though it seems to quiet down as the sun comes up. The Rapala SW08ST Skitter Walk that I bought looks like a trout minnow. Thursday I had 10 catches and 8 of them were in the boat. 2 keeper trout and 6 stripers. It hurt to put those stripers back, hope they are there this fall when they are legal. The other days 2 and 3 catches and multiple hit and misses. Go for it.

Try a jitterbug. Dark at night and lighter colors during the day. Just cast it out and reel it in at a steady speed.

I like the whopper popper. It comes in three different sizes but the best size to throw is a 110. I also like the toadrunner. What I say to do is get a variety of things and see witch one u can catch fish with.

Devil's Horse, Hula Popper and Tiny Torpedo are great starter lures.

Did you know that Academy interest rate is 29.4 %? I canceled my account and my credit score jumped up 34 points!
People say that I am not telling the truth but I printed out my report just to prove it.
I like fishing with surface lures.
Had an alligator attack my lure this evening. Arbogast Sputter bug...the large one. Jumped one time and threw the hook. Over 4 feet long. I'm glad he threw it. It cost me 9 bucks for that lure. The attack was fast and furious...I didn't expect it and didn't know that dark spot in the water was an animal and not a log of sorts...it was late evening and the sun was down.
