Been Skunked for 6 weeks!
All my spots have become overfished, featureless, or filled with river gravel. Hope you're all having better luck.

A couple weeks ago in MN the walleye were the best I’ve EVER seen them in my lifetime. Doesn’t mean I got any monsters, but others in the boat did.

Yeah? I do confess. Last year was the first time in 6 or 7 years I've been fishing again. Had $5k in hardware and tackle stolen from my garage when I was in bootcamp. It disheartened me and I forgot a lot of the knowledge I learned years ago. So I need to get back to the books I suppose.

I had about a solid 3 week skunk back in the spring. It ended and when it did I was so happy! I had to go fish some state owned lakes for a bit but now my 2 ponds (one behind my house one at my parents) are lively!

I'm gonna be so disproportionately excited when it finally breaks.

I’ve been skunked the last couple of weeks. I when I get a day off from work I’m so excited to go bass fishing and when I get there I wondering where are all the fish go. I’ve took my kayak out to deep water at a local camp ground which has a trophy lake and still nothing.
please try, trick worm on a 1/0 worm hook, with a couple of pinch on sinkers 10 inches up from the hook. I have had luck w/ that when really bad time not a lot of weight on sinkers, 1/4 at most , break out the spinning R&R . good luck
If you are fishing by day light try dawn or dusk.sometimes when i'm getting skunked i'll go fishing in the middle of the night. (especally if you were in that heat wave over the last week.) I find the fish to be less stressed and more agressive. At night try dark colored surface lures and start your retrive as soon as the lure hits the water. Good luck, we all get skunked on occation.
Can you see signs of life or fish activity? Baitfish? I like throwing lures around wherever baitfish are active........usually, catch a bass.
