Thanksgiving restrictions had enough yet?

For you who are fortunate enough not to know who this turkey is on the attachment, it is the governor of our fine state of Washington Jay Inslee. He has now issued an order that we are not to hold any thanksgiving celebration with people outside of those who live with us in our house and even then limit to 5 people (sorry if your family is over 5). However he generously has allowed for an exception of up to 10 people if everyone who does not live in the house self-quarantines for 14 days before coming over and has a negative rapid test for CV-19 and then self-quarantines 14 days after thanks giving. Of course, there are still guidelines that need to be followed. Thanksgiving needs to be held out doors, everyone must remain 6 feet apart and wear masks which are only to be lowered to take a bite of food and then immediately moved back into position and the whole thanksgiving event can last no longer than 3 hrs max. So here is my question what restrictions are being placed on thanksgiving in the states you live in and how do you feel about them? Support, do not support, going to submit to them or ignore them?. I would really like to know how you out there who served in our arm services and risked life and limb to defend our freedom and liberty feel about all this. I for one am really tired of egotistical nattering nabobs of negativism who are consumed by fear and deluded by their own delusions mandating what I can and cannot do with out any regards to my liberty and freedoms that we so cherish in this United States of America. If our individual liberties and freedom is worth our patriotic and brave soldiers to put their life on the line for then they are important enough for us to at least stand up for, liberties that are not exercised will be liberties that are lost. I know I need to take a long fishing trip somewhere and relax at least he lifted the restrictions on fishing

In Louisiana were in what’s called phase 3. Most businesses are operating at 75 % with the mask and distancing restrictions still in place. As far as Thanksgiving we are not restricted in our homes to a certain number. If they did it would be ignored. They sure as hell can’t arrest us all. Whatever happened to personal responsibility and limited government?

I have not missed one day of work, have been around many people working on their homes, do not wear a mask due to asthma and have let my immune system work the way God intended. I am sick of people looking at me like I am a leper because I don’t wear a mask. The country is suffering from corona-mania.

Well,,,,,,, DC, for what it is worth, and this is MHO. My wife has stage 4 lung cancer and is on 2 chemos and one immunotherapy. She has no functioning immune system. So, of course, we are not going anyplace. In the past, about 40 of us would rent a trap shooting range clubhouse and bring enough food for 80 people. We would shoot trap, watch football, drink beer, tell lies, and feed our faces. A grand time was held by all. But, NOT this year, it was cancelled. It was just too risky. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, but do it safely.

Well, unless there is a law duly enacted by the legislature of WA and signed by The Turkey, we'll just disregard his pronouncements as "enforced under color of law" and disregard.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no edicts from the governor about Thanksgiving as yet. Common sense prevails and that is what we will observe. Just Sayin...RJS

I think maybe you're getting your panties in a wad over nothing. What I read was that Inslee is "recommending" that folks stay home and cut down on the Thanksgiving get togethers. I didn't read anywhere that he has "issued an order" to that effect and I doubt he would have the power to do that if he wanted to. Big difference between recommending that you do something and sending the sheriff over to arrest you as you're carvin the turkey or mashin the taters. Please direct me to an article or a document which verifies the issuance of this order. Then I'll agree with you that it is a violation of our rights and an attempted abuse of power. The article I read said he's "urging" not recommending. Still.

Kate Brown did it in Oregon. That means Washington must have done it first. She does whatever Washington and California does. I’d like to seem em enforce that crap.

sorry to hear about your wife flyguy of course those that are most vulnerable need to take extra precautions. My son in law just had heart surgery and because he is vulnerable he will be wearing a mask and we will take precautions to keep him safe as well as much prayers for him. but that is kind of the point everyone has to be responsible for themselves and theirs and do what is best for them. but for the other 99% of the population they should be free to do what is best for them. Hope you have a safe and happy thanksgiving even in the worse of times there are always something we can be thankful for if nothing else God is in control and knows what He is doing even if we don't
