Nice, the butterflies will migrate through cape may NJ in early October
Every once in awhile a few will get lost or blown off course and come thru Wyo. Crazy something do fragile flys so far.
I enjoy nature no matter what it’s about. It’s all a miracle for me. Thanks Gordon.

Thanks Gordon. That’s really cool. We had tarantula migrations in Mariposa County California when I lived there. Cool but creepy.
Plant a little milkweed. They lay there eggs there. The caterpillars only eat milkweed. Their numbers are a bit less than 10% of what they were 20 years ago. Monarchs are so pretty.
They change migration routes Down here in Texas and over in Louisiana. Depends on the weather I suppose. Also helps to have lots of Milkweed plants in the state.
Awesome site. Amazing Journey.
Thanks G

Growing up in Milwaukee, our next door neighbor had a tree in their backyard which the Monarchs used twice a year during their migrations. Unfortunately, the tree died and was cut down in the mid-sixties. I remember the last season they came to it as there were thousands covering the bark.
