Learning to fish for walleye and locating on humminbird

I’m new to walleye fishing and also with locating and catching fish on fish finders. I’ve done a lot of research on position walleye usually appear on graphs and to look near sharp breaks off a point or flat. I’ve gathered when to use certain colors. Etc etc etc. I go to lakes where I know walleye are and put these tactics to use and I fail to catch them time and time again. I seem to have trouble staying on the fish once I’ve had them on my graph and marked the location. I’m located in west central Indiana. I do have places I fish and catch them but it’s cause I just know they are there.
Does any one have good available information or time to show me how to catch them find them on graphs and catch them?

If you have not seen a humminbird video on how clear everything looks on side looking sonar, I highly recomend it. https://www.humminbird.com/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=brand%20-%20fishfinders%20-%20helix&utm_term=%2Bhumminbird%20%2Bhelix&utm_content=helix&gclid=COyjwsegreMCFcnrDQodXcUNuQ&gclsrc=ds
