My Chargers are playin the Saints on MNF. I'm torn. Like my Chargers, but I do love Drew Brees. That rookie quarterback the Chargers got looks like the real deal. Hope he can stay healthy. Seem to recall they had another pretty good one out of Oregon?
I just have Free Digital TV and Netflicks. I just wish the greedy people in the Sports Business left Sports on normal channels for weekends and Monday Night Football. I get it. If getting rich doing something.... why not help a cable or other form of signal to get more money out of the general public for something as traditional as Monday Night Football. We Americans own the Airwaves anyway just like public lands. But by golly some businesses figured out a way to make us pay for something we already own.
Don't pay attention to any of them. Just try to find some entertainment out of 200 a month worth of channels.

Those Air Coryell years were fun to watch with Fouts throwing it all over the yard.

If I remember right spirit San Diego Chargers had Drew Brees for 4 or 5 years.

Yep they drafted Rivers and let Brees go because he had injured his shoulder and his future was kind of uncertain at the time. Hadl, Fouts, Brees, Rivers, they've had some good ones. Ryan Leaf kinda balances it out.

I got stationed in San Diego in 76 - so I was there for the beginning. That's what got me hooked.

We pay 40 a month for Fiber internet. 10 or whatever for Netflicks. Last night I read online maybe there is an ESPN app I can get or something but it starts the whole thing I said earlier in thread about paying for something that was ours in first place then a private company comes in and makes public pay to see what is public property in the first place.

You can thank Captain America - Ted Turner. Hey, the airwaves are still free. You can watch your local news for nothing, and that's probably about what it's worth.
In answer to your question about Oregon Ducks QB's, obviously Dan Fouts was the biggest, but in addition to Justin Herbert, now playing with the Chargers, there is Marcus Mariota with the Tennessee Titans.
Norm V.B. ever hear of him? Not exactly a slouch either.
But yeah, Danny Fouts one of he goats in my opinion - sure fun to watch. Maybe that's where Rivers got his attitude? Fouts took no crap from anyone and you could count on him stepping up his game if he had blood on his jersey.
Norm V.B. ? Been awhile since I heard that name. Never knew he was a Duck though Spirit.
Did not graduate from Oregon but left early to join the NFL in 49 draft. But that's where he went following USN service during WWII. Oregon lists him as one of their alumni in the HOF. I'm not gonna argue.
News that Van Brocklin was a Duck is new knowledge, for me.
