Fish the Big Hole river in sw Montana mid October just before the spawn. Big Browns on a fly, can't be beat.

4 days and 3 nights at Freedom Ranch just outside Wise River, Montana. 2 days fully guided float of the Big Hole River. What a great trip! Lots of fish: rainbows, Browns and Brookies, all on flies. Biggest fish of the trip was a 4# Brown.

A trip like that is the stuff of dreams. That country is unequalled, as well as the rivers. I miss it and still love it.

Fly fishing with a guide in Montana sounds like a four or $500 day out of most of our budgets! Lol
