That’s a really cool thing you did Barnacles. I bet they really appreciated the extra attention they got in first class. I know you’re not looking for a pat on the back but Good on you.

I never served in the military but I’ve supported them for as long as I can remember. My father was a 31 year marine who fought in World War II and the Korean War. He retired a master gunnery Sargent in the 70’s. It was Hard to grow up and not realize the selflessness and bravery of all the men and women who served. My father passed away in 2007 just a month short of his 92nd birthday.
The sad part is I really didn’t appreciate what he went through and sacrificed until after he was gone.

Hey Catfish i just missed you there in Panama. Ft Kobe was right outside the Air Force barracks there at Howard AFB there in 70 and 71. Thanks for the many morning wake ups with that darn reveille over the loud speaker.
