Whatever they're hitting. Sometimes a good ole night crawler in a crawler harness works when nothing else does. I don't have a favorite per say. Depends on the time of year and cycle if the fish.
Well, Hoss: My larges Bass was caught on a diving crank bait; the most with a spinner bait, and one that broke myu rod was one who bit a worm on a Texas rig. Just Sayin....RJS
Black zoom worm with lightest weight possible
Texas rig worms black& green pumpkin,
Drop shot, Spinner
Home made wine cork popper.
Ned Rigs, drop shot and jerkbaits.
Fish lots of other stuff but these are my favs
Love top water as dawn is breaking, also buzz baits, crank baits and jigs as situation calls more. As Lawrence Fish Fishburne said, On Guntersville, if you ain’t fishing grass, you aint catching bass.
I agree completely with BamaMike. Just Sayin...RJS

For me - ponds - rooster tails, hula poppers at dusk. In big lakes - we use rooster tails, crankbaits and at the edges of the big lakes I’m dropping or pitching a baby brush hog, which they been killin lately, and Ned rigs.
Texas rigged rubber worm, Rebel Crawfish, original Rapala, Jitterbug
Top water at dawn is hard to beat, also a spinner bait when your looking away, thump!!!
