Caught my first and only small mouth in Boca Raton, some 20 years ago. Weighed in a hefty 12 ozs!
Quit fishing because the gators began to show too much interest in us! Lol.

Biggest fish of any species was caught about 25 years ago. A 499 lb Blue Marlin, 20 miles outside of Oahu's North Shore.

I caught a LM a couple of years ago that felt heavier than a gallon of latex paint I had carried around earlier that day. If my feeling was accurate that would put him at around 11 + pounds. Like Ivsaid - I need a scale.

Mine was big, real big. The lake was in a nasty mood that day. White caps rain and fog moving in and out. No way to tell how much it weighed or how long. No camera phones existed. The story goes like this. Had the bass by the lip. Caught. Done. Get the pb book out. Then slip, fall, sink and let go of the fish. Was it 8, was it double digit. Can’t say. Just haven’t had one as big.

My PB LM is 10 lb 9 oz. Caught in a farm pond about 6 miles south of Anadarko, Ok in 1970. Caught the fish on a red & white bomber. A couple years ago I caught 2 bass that weighed over 10 lbs weighed on a Berkley hand scale from another farm
pond. Yes, they were immediately released, no photo. Caught on rapala jointed topwater lure.

My PB was 6.2 lbs. Not sure there are any/many double digits in MA. We know that there are 8s in here but we can’t find them ☹️

Thanks, Mike

Yes, it was an exciting catch.
I had an audience watching it break water from a shoreline deck and it justified me buying the Bucca BullShad at last year’s Fishing Expo 👍
