I just sold a 21 foot deck boat and it is not as comfortable as a pontoon and the new pontoons or tritoons are very stable and great to fish out of. The one I want has two 425 H.P. motors and does 65 mph and cost around 160,000!!! They are nice though.

I don't think the bride would ride in something like that, not big enough. It would work for me though, but this isn't about me.

Understood. My wife is quite happy with it, as we fish primarily the inlets and fingers of Lake Whitney.

The only thing about trailering a pontoon/tritoon is that they're a bit wider and higher than most trailer boats. Except for that. it's very much the same. Just pay attention to low overpasses and be careful to keep in the center of your lane.

Donโ€™t think the heights is much of a problem. My neighbor has a 26 foot Tritoon and even with the top up it is lower than his RV which is sitting right next to it. The width is, I believe 8 1/2 feet, so you do have to watch that.

I think Hurricane is one brand of deck boats, Fly. I see one at one of the lakes I fish. Looks nice.

Yes they do look em up and they haul. The pontoon boat they were on was a 33 or 35 footer with everything on it including the kitchen sink, filet station, two live wells, refer 110 converter, etc. for those that have way too much time and money;

Manitou in 2017 has a pontoon with twin 400 HP merc outboards and I think Bennington has the 2020 with two 425 HP.

I'm a Tracker Boat sales consultant and except for loosing the ability to get into those very shallow weedy areas for bass a pontoon is a great choice. The women (if not fishing) like to stretch out and sun bathe and for kids tubing there is NOTHING BETTER. 2 things to caution you about
#1 A TRITOON may cost as much as $3000. more but it is worth every penny WELL SPENT CASH.
#2 If you are going to use the boat a lot buy the largest motor available for that boat. Two reasons for that having the power if you need it is good but not overworking your motor will give you 45-50% better fuel economy and your engine will last much longer.
I've been around boats for over 55 years with being a charter captain for 15 years and a bass tournament fisherman for 20 years Been off the water for the last 4 years because I tore up both my knees but after two surgeries and so far 10 months of my body getting used to a new knee I'm getting a new bass boat in the next two months and going to move down to north central Florida to be closer to 6 of my great grand kids . I'm also going to buy a Suntracker 24 tri toon if you haven't checked them out they have the BEST warranty of anything on the market and are fairly priced. Got kind of long winded there but I believe very strongly of what I said and try to help people from making a mistake with their hard earned money. Good luck to You and Yours. The Capt.

Hard to beat casual fishing off a pontoon. Get up, walk around, stretch your legs, etc. there are fishing models, too with Captains chairs and rod holders, Live wells, bait wells, coolers for your catch, etc.
You will need a landing net with a longer handle, though. You MAY need extensions on your mirrors for towing, depending on your vehicle. Hard to beat the benefits of cocktail cruising, too...as long as you donโ€™t get carried away ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have wanted a Pontoon full size boat for years. You can fish from them. They might not be much fun in high seas but not many boats are.

I can verify that statement.๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„
