So.. If anyone is near the Myrtle Beach area and wants to have a great time, then head to the local peir. Saturday, I caught 43 spots, 24 whiting, and 57 pompano in 5 hrs. Sunday I took my girlfriend and together we had 76 spots, 52 whiting, and a whopping 93 pompano in 10.5. 2.5 hours of that I spent filleting every single fish.. when I finally got done, my girlfriend asked why I was putting the knives away??? I told her I was done with 2 2gallon bags full of fillets... she opened the cooler and had caught an additional 17 spots, 3 whiting, and 24 more pompano... I handed her the knives and told her it was time for her to practice... only the second time cleaning fish, and she filleted all 44 fish by herself!!!!
Btw, we caught most of the spots and whiting on bloodworms, and most of the pompano on local shrimp!!!!

Way to go Bubba. Sounds like y'all hade a great day. You work for the rail road?
I used to work for CSX in Charleston out of Bennet Yard, then Hamlet, Savannah, and then back in Bennet Yard
Going to be there in the middle of November. Anything doing at that time?
Unfortunately everything drops off from the piers after the spot run, but big black bass 22-26” fish come in to only 15-20 miles instead of 35-50 miles offshore.... trout also step up their game in November.. best news is that the local oyster starts October 1st!!! By mid November with the water temp dropping, they get better and better!!!! Go for clusters out of Georgetown Seafood!!! It’s worth the drive and price

Welcome to the Forum, Bubba. I hope you at least bought her a beer. I can't clean a fish without a beer.
That is a ton of fish.

That's a bunch of fish! Congrats on your catches.
Taking my Dad this weekend. Glad to hear there's some action. Which pier were you fishing on and were the Blues and Spanish running?
I think we may try the Myrtle Beach State Park pier.
Apache. Yes the blues are so thick it’s ridiculous!!! Caught 12 on shrimp, which really happens... Spanish are being caught on jigging rods
We’ll be there 0645 Saturday morning
