Is 2020 going to be the year Football died. In MN. we have no highschool football this Fall. It will be played this Spring, hopefully. Caledonia currently has the NATION'S longest active winning streak at 68. We have won the last 5 State Championships. Many, many college football teams are not playing this Fall. The NFL is playing without fans in the stadium to begain with anyway, and the players disrespect for the flag and this Nation has Pi$$ed a lot of fans off, and they say that they are not going to watch it. What are your thoughts on this mess?

I played football in neighborhood yards and in school. I am discussed with the politics in sports. Shut up and play ball or go home. Covid will dent the upcoming supply of athletes in a lot of sports. If we end up with more scientist and engineers that would be okay. Unfortunately, I see that computer gaming is becoming a college curriculum.

There you go. I think that’s all I have to say about that. Not intended to offend anyone.

That’s great. Around here adults can go drink in a bar, but no football. More positives on the football field.

I don't watch football it's a waist of time. I'm either working or fishing lol. The whole flag issue is topping on the cake. There's a bunch of different ways they could protest. But to disrespect the national anthem and the flag ????? 🖕Em

I think covid taught us who is really the essential. It turns out it is not the pro athletes or actors or "reality TV stars". They are just there to relieve a little bordem. Yet they feel their opinions are so important for us to here. Some of us have had to get up and go to work every day as if nothing different was going on. As soon as sports started getting political, it turned my stomach and I lost interest. They get paid way to much for what they do to act like this. It has given us more time to reconnect with family and friends. I am getting a lot more projects done. Heck I might even read a book or two. Not to mention try to catch a fish here and there. Now if we could just get rid of all this smoke! Haha. Thanks for listening. Enjoy.

I used to be a big fan, but once it got political I really lost interest. I agree there are big problems out in the World, but a football field is not a forum for political statements. If they have something to say, but some air time and make your statement then. I will then choose to watch or not.
I watch games when convenient, but would rather follow my dog after game birds on Sundays. Sports has been reduced to entertainment for me. My opinion, of course.

I gave up football and nascar. I will watch Tampa Bay play today to see what it looks like with Brady but that's about it. When I gave them both up a few years ago my fishing/ hunting time increased measurably.

That said I will not watch the pre game or half time. The only time I want to see a guy on his knee is when hes holding the ball for a extra point.

One point only to make on all of this. Am I the only one to remember the Black Panthers raising their fists in "Their Salute" in the Olympics? Now I see "Protesters" doing it also.
Now Protesting is OK, Rioting is not. Screaming at people is not. Throwing things at police or other's is not.
They use to shoot rioters, white, black, yellow, or red, didn't matter.
That's my rant, Sorry.
