Little towns in Idaho as well when stop for fuel

All had sign on door that said Masks Required. Hotel we stayed at in Lava made us sign a waiver that if any unknown transfer of the disease would not be the hotels fault. We never stopped in Missoula MT. All the stops and places we were...small towns far from big cities.

I asked if there is any such thing as any Diseases that horses can contract. You know a horse disease? Is there any such thing or is there any proof. There is CV19 in a whole lot more states than just Oregon and Kansas. I guess you will have to not believe any of us because whatever news source you have is never accurate as well. Do you believe there is any such thing as wildfires? They are on the news too and they really do exist.

I'm with Randy & Jeremy & Spirit, as well as THE DOCTOR !!!
You ARE very blessed and lucky, ...at this point in time, Catfish H..... pray that it continues, despite your obvious "tunnel vision" denial. About 180k DEAD PEOPLE have no opportunity to convince you of your naivete, so we, who respect the medical community, are left to try....it seems like it might be an exercise in futility.

BTW, CH...re: a previous post... the recall of our Governor failed..... and according to ALL those media outlets you abhor.... Idaho is having a major uptick in cases, big-time.... your posts next month might not be issued with such an arrogant view, when it hits someone you care about.
Could that be because of your fellow citizens taking your same stance ?......... well, DUH.
Good luck, stay home.... don't bring NOTHING to Oregon.... you're just coming to get Oregon's pike-minnow $$ anyways, right ?

Sorry that we "stole", your thread , Pete. My buddy, south.of the Bay Area was talking smelt awhile back..I should have paid more attention. Check with local bait shops, would be my first inclination.

Thanks for sharing and agreeing that everyone is entitled to their opinion. First of all COVID-19 is a vascular disease which attacks your circulatory system. Those two deaths you referred to had a high probability of being COVID-19 related. My aunt died from it and the relatives and friends of the 180,000+ who have died from it will certainly disagree with your perspective. Not wearing a mask when around others is selfish. When you are by yourself at home watching Fox News feel free to go mask free.

I PM'd you - did you get it? Please don't get discouraged with the fishing stage over this one post. It doesn't usually get like this. Although like the catfish hunter said, topics do often end up running off in all directions.

Hopefully you find some smelt Pete. They used to run every year here in Oregon in Sandy and Cowlits Rivers. I still have some frozen for Sturgeon Bait. I haven’t used them it’s probably been over 10 years since we had good enough run for it to be open for netting. I hope you find some and get to collect them or fish for what is eating them etc. . Kids used to bring them fresh unfrozen or fresh frozen to a dock in Astoria when was fishing for Sturgeon selling them like lemonade to all the Sturgeon Fishermen.

Have you ever eaten em? We used to have fish fries in Indiana when I's a kid with smelt from Lake Michigan. Bread em and fry em, guts and all. With fries and beer? Mercy.

I did not say that. And you should go back and read the beginnings of the covid conversation and see where it was that I interjected, asking for the conversation to be moved to OPP. All I said in the beginning was that you were mistaken about fishing not being allowed in California. I've been fishing ever since this whole mess started up. Haven't caught a damned thing, but that ain't POTUS's fault. I caught fish last year.

I didn’t mention any names.

I tried fresh smelt once. Lots of bones but the flavor wasn’t real bad. Kinda like eating a sardine. Not a lot of flavor.

A canned sardine or a fresh sardine? Fresh sardines prepared correctly are a marvel. But you're right, the ones I remember from those fish fries just tasted like the breading they were coated in - kinda like chips.

Hey Spirit, with all the “talk” about Covid and masks, Myrna showed me this pic. Thought you or some of the other “dastardly squids” here on FS might like it. A friend of her’s makes them. PM me if you want one.

Fresh. Not the best I’ve ever tasted.

Looks good Randy. My wife's buddy that is a school counselor where she is a teacher has made some with that pattern but different fabric. My mother has made THOUSANDS of them. She has given many of them to my Cousin the Nurse to distribute ...that didn't have any PPE for awhile during this pandemic.
