What lures should i use in fall? where should i fish? the fish at my lake eat other fish and crawfish, and i thought about buying a chatterbait and putting a rage craw on it. would a rage craw be a good choice or should i use a swim bait trailer? should i have a trailer? Any other lures? please help fall is around the corner. Responses are much appreciated!

If your up north crawfish become scarce through fall and into winter so just slow roll chatterbaits and spinnerbaits or finesse it

If your fish aren't feeding on tons of craw I would say go with a swimbait trailer. It produces way more consistently for me. And for fall fishing; crawl swimbaits on the bottom (I do mean crawl) crank baits work well. And jerk baits will smaash when that water gets colder. Basically anything that's going to imitate a bait fish. Good luck!
Edit: forgot about POPPERS

Your bait choices are good for fall and they will hit that craw but don't forget the top water baits also . I really like a black buzz bait in the fall. Your bass will follow bait fish back into the creeks, coves and bays in the fall. Start looking where you found Spring Post spawn bass, then work your way back towards the main lake. You'll run across them somewhere, Possibly a secondary point or shallow bays and back ends of the creeks. Fish will follow the bait fish into, then back out of the shallower water into the deep water in winter. Hope that helps
Hoss, I woulld agree with prior posts, but you can certainly try a crawfish if they've seen them in the summer, they will still eat them. Just Sayin...RJS
One of the best fall baits is a rattle trap. If it’s sunny use a chrome one with a blue or black back. If it’s cloudy and overcast use a natural Shad one. Both in the 1/2 oz size.
2X rattle trap or other lipless crank. I like red eye Shad personally
Suspending jerkbaits can be AMAZING as the water cools. Pointers are the ticket
Have had success with flutter spoons fished off ledges and steep drops after a cold snap

Red Eye Bleeding Shad - give em a try.
I smoke the LMB in fall at daybreak, work a Zoom Horny Toad rigged weedless. The vegetation has started to die back and the fish are loading up on calories for the winter... from Upstate New York...
everything works in the fall
I’ve been skunked as well in the fall...
Ever happen to you?

Yes sir, Here on Tim's Ford it's hit or miss in the fall, when you hit it's usually a home run. When You miss you blank. Bass follow the baitfish to the backs of coves. I went out yesterday and found big bait balls in the back end of a couple creeks holding in 30ft. the bass haven't got there yet but they will come.
