The sticker patch north of Amarillo sounds just delightful! Hopefully, a little time spent here everyday will be like an oasis for you. I also hope you find time to do some fishing. I put it off for way too many years. I'm pretty sure I'm never going to regret not spending a few more hours at work when I finally get to retire, but I sure do regret not spending more time with my kids fishing and being outdoors with them when they were young. No preaching, or judging, just saying...

I was always better at working than making money. It's really hard to make those decisions when it requires some much time and energy to make a living.

Great advice Plumbob. What is politics?
I heard it said
Poli= many
Tics= a blood sucking animal
That about describes it.
Not that I don’t have a political opinion, I get angry talking about it and I’m not looking to get angry here.

Easiest way to get my blood pressure into the stratosphere.

Flytier: Well a little division in this household. My wife has suddently become interested in politics. She has watched both conventions and told me i was uniformed because i refused to watch either. I for once kept my mouth shut! Amazing!

But since I have been our prescinct election judge for 10 years, and keep up with things all the time and am really not interested in the canned patter spewed out by both parties for the bated breath of the electorarte, I believe I am informed, at least as much as I choose to be. Just Sayin...RJS

Welcome aboard, Arch

I, for one, am glad to have you here with others of us who grew tired of that particular site.

Thanks, Fred Good to be back.

My roof was damaged from a severe hailstorm a few weeks ago, and they just replaced it on the 20th. In doing so, they messed up my satellite dish. Hughes-Net had a waiting list for repairs, so I was left to wait 'til this morning to get it straightened out.

As I doubt he was singing my praises, I am soon to find out how badly BB defamed me in my absence.

Hope you took some measurements on that dish so can make adjustments to it if anything ever happens to it in the future. My father in law spent 2 day measuring his dish after tropical storm tore his down. Next storm he was proud as a peacock when he fixed it himself.

It so happens that the Hughes repairman lives just a hoot'n a holler from us and has promised to check on our dish anytime we deem it necessary. He also seems willing to take BB's otherwise worthless IOUs as payment
