podude, be careful with fishing at banks you could get arrested. if your thinking about fishing a bank on a military base , now thats a federal crime with a more severe punishment. so you moght want to choose a small bank out in the country. BEST OF LUCK though. oh make sure to wear your mask.

Indoor heated marina??? Well, I never.....there's my learning for the day Spirit.

If a pilgrim happens to live where it never gets cold there would be no need of a heated fishing dock. Our winters can be windy but the temperature seldom drops below the teens. Most of our lakes have at least 1 marina that has a heated fishing dock. It's just a floating metal building with a railing around an inside opening of around 20x30 ft or so. Plenty of chairs & a good heater. Usually it doesn't get shirt sleeve warm but it's comfortable. Most have plenty of submerged Christmas trees to draw the crappie & for one to get hung up in. I usually catch a lot of nice bluegill around the dock on fort Gibson lake. If the crappie aren't hitting I switch to bluegills. There is usually a cleaning station with running lake water. My fishing buddy & I fillet our fish then put a crappie or bluegill rib cage on a catfish hook with no weight & drop it in the water under the cleaning station. Bud, you better be holding that rod good. The catfish hang around the cleaning station waiting on a free meal. We most always pull in some nice blue cat. It's a good way to kill a dreary winter day.

Bottom... that is very cool. One reason why I love to read this forum is learning how other people fish, what they fish for, and the places where they fish!
