Yes that happened in the Mid Atlantic fishing tournament last week. The mate had over reached holding the leader and fell in, Great boat Captain and crew got him in safley. On the marlins last run he got a bite out of his side by the tail. The fish was disqualified due to IGFA rules. The meat was donated to the local food bank and all was well except the crew did not win the $500,000 + prize

780+ lbs with a bite out of it. Saw it in person as my boat was on the next dock. It was a NJ tournament with weigh ins in Ocean City MD and Cape May NJ they did not say where they were because the tourney was not over....We do get some hugh females and it seems that once a year a big one is caught....Not quite as big as what happens in NC but ones 400/500 are around in August....
