Ate there a couple times but was not impressed. Wannacheese, NC is where Wicked Tuna is filmed, isn't it? Is getting past the breakers there as miserable as it looks? That is a great fishery.

Very very dangerous going and coming especially at night. Channel changes constantly. Mike

yes wannacheese is home of the daniels family commercial fishing fleet. also oregon inlet is dangerous because of the bars and tides . but i was 19 so what did i care i was a commercial fisherman. i quickly found out that fisshing 24 hrs is takes its toll on your body.our boat was the brenda kay. a rusty old tub that broke alot.but we caught scallops. i learned that i didnt want to do this very long.then i joined the air force and rest is history.

it does look tough on any of the commercial boats. Bad weather, big waves, not much sleep, working hard, what could go wrong there? I think the worst is the crab boats in Alaska. I'm surprised any of those guys are still living. They make good money but they also earn it for sure. I prefer fun fishing.🎣😎

I hear that for sure. If you watch the crab boats you will see that many of the deck hands have prison records or warrants out on them. It is probably their only way to make a living. It sure is a tough way to live but I enjoy the show so I hope they don’t quit! πŸ˜πŸ¦€
