My father used to use old spark plugs for sinkers, when he was Bullhead fishing.

Spark plugs do work. they hold good in rocks. use lightweight line for lead line so it will break ez if hung up while fishing or fighting a fish.

Or you could just order what you want from Tackle Warehouse or Midwest USA.

Do you have a metal scrap yard? Our local one has a lead bin. I buy lead to melt very cheap. If I hit it right I also find numerous already made weights at the bottom of the box at the same lead by the pound price.

Kinda spendy shipping lead weights! Find a source of lead, make your or buy, a mold and pour your own. I got shot from a gun club, scrap lead from metal scrap yards, car wheel weights and even had a guy give me a ships ballast weight. Just be safe when melting lead!

Well, if you have a gun or pistol range, there's plenty of lead in the ground there behind the targets. I suggest looking behind where the pistol shooting takes place, there's more rounds fired and they will usually be more concentrated and the rounds will have more lead inside the copper jacket. Just sayin...RJS
