We use them all the time for small mouth bass in a rocky stream. Smallies will eat them like cotton candy.

Rebel crayfish crankbait an excellent lure for smallmouth and largemouth. I caught a 5 & 4 pound largemouth this summer on that crankbait

One of my go-to lures for summer Steelhead in the Rogue River.......along with black/yellow dots Panther Martin and large brown, white, black or purple Rooster Tails, often tipped with single eggs or half a nightcrawler.

Everyone is right about it being a crawdad. Nearly every fish take them. I sometimes use with Carolina rig and a 1/4 ounce weight to get it to the bottom where they usually swim. Work great around rocks also. Finesse it a little to make a more natural movement. Killer for smallies.
