I walk and fish the shoreline's of lake Lanier, sometimes you have to either cross walkway of docks or walk on property, and I have been asked what and why I was fishing inva place that they believe to be there's. My question is this, does army corps of engineers own fifteen feetvif shoreline around the whole lake or not,and am I trespassing by fishing the shorline!?
Just trying to fish,no drama please
I’m not near any such project, but I am near a river, and had wondered much the same thing regarding the flood plain. So I dialed up the DNR, and they told me that the immediately adjacent land is indeed private.
However, floating between the banks, you’re home free.
In Montana and Oregon. Not sure about others. If you are below high water mark it's not trespassing. Find a bridge head up or down stream doesn't matter whose private land it is. Can't cross private to get to river
If your on a lake that the state own..It should be o.k.
