Is it the scent? The color? Am I retrieving my lure wrong? What works for you? Thanks

How big are the bass? How big are your lures? What’s your retrieve like? What color is your lure?

Try slowing down your retrieve. Present it differently to the fish. Raise your rod tip, then slowly let it fall down on tight line.

Good question some fish bite a fast lure and others a slow retrieve.....just try different presentations, I have caught many of these fish just by stopping the retrieve and let the lure sink. And sometimes I do not get a bite no matter what I do, don't you just hate it when you see the fish 6 inches from the boat but cannot get a bite!!
Stop dead still for at least five seconds and then heave it away from him. This will frequently get a reaction strike.
Change lure color. Barney
FS Digest. A live frog, a juicy crawler or a lively crayfish will usually turn any Largemouth Bass from a looker to a biter.
