Stopped on the Madison river on way back from Henry’s lake yesterday. Picked up this brown on a caddis pupa. Was a beautiful morning. Scars on the fish’s back and by his gill. Not sure maybe from eagle or osprey? Was bigger than looks in pick.

Great pictures bric. I'm not a fly fisher, but I love to fish the Madison on into and just below Eniss. How did you do at Henry's? My last trip I never got a bite, trolling or bait fishing. There were a ton of fish hanging 2 feet off the bottom, just above the weed line. But I did see the tube guys catching them with fly rods.

I did ok, got a few from my little inflatable. Had to repair a leak so had a bunch of down time. I did a post ‘Henry’s lake Idaho’.
Tubers did well. Talk to folks trolling and throwing’em nightcrawlers they did well with both. I actually spin fished too. Got one on a marabou jig. Leech patterns worked on fly rod.

The Madison was one of my favorites out there. I fished inside Yellowstone, mostly. Olive woolybuggers worked for me. All the rivers around there were great to fish.
