Fish finder for bank fishing

Does anyone have any experience with the fish finders you cast out and the data gets sent back to your phone or a hand held device? I really only fish from the bank and just really starting to fish. I don't really know how deep anything is or what it looks like under there. I was wondering if they would help. Are there better ones than others? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Enjoy.

I bought a Lucky depth finder months ago, works fine. The sensor is turned on and cast out, sends data back to the hand held, depth, water temp, fish I'd pics. Mine has charger for both pieces, dont need to keep buying batteries, runs about $70

Thanks PB I have been looking at those was just wondering if they were worth the trouble or not. Seems like any information you get could be useful. especially in new places.

I also bought a Lucky and it works but doesn't get you lucky enough to catch all the time!

I use mine for depth and see what the bottom structure is like. For fish id I back the grain off to try eliminate false signals.

I also looked on Amazon, read the reviews. 40% 5 star and 33% 1 star. That's unusual. A third of the reviews say don't waste your money, it doesn't work. And almost half say they love it. What's up?

As always, some people expect too much. They work ok as long as you use it right, dont expect to catch fish because they might show on the screen

Back when I still had my boat the fish finder was the biggest source if frustration. It could find the fish but couldn't make them bite .😊

I have an iBobber. Its bluetooth so range is limited to about 30 ft. You can use it for your bobber and it will alarm if you get a bite.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I am still on the fence about them. But will probably pick one up just to get a little more information about the places I wet my line. To be honest is not as often as I would like! But isn't that always the case? Enjoy.
