Good afternoon all, got out for a couple hours this morning, before the forecasted thunderstorms get here. One 1lb 8oz Largemouth, QRed another similar size at the boat, got bit off by pike a couple times, and got a 14oz white perch. Got the bass on a Buzz toad, first thing. Love top water. Everything after that was on a wacky worm. Better than working!

Productive morning, nice catch. I been casting a buzz frog every time I go out with no luck so far. I love that top water bite myself. I'll keep casting it and it'll produce soon.

Yeah Ivey, the only problem with a Buzzbait is floating weed. The lake I went to has a lot of stringy weed floating in mats. Chopped up by the Waterskiers props. I could only throw it in a few areas. It paid off in one spot though. Good Luck and Tight Lines buddy.

Weeds are a nemesis of the buzz bait That's one thing I don't have to worry about, there are no weeds in the lake I fish. Wish they would grow here but TVA pulls the water down 15 ft. in the winter, kills every weed win the lake. Anyone know of vegetation that'll grow in a flood control lake?
