Hemostat’s were my preference. They served a dual purpose. Removing hooks from down a fish’s mouth and, well, you know.

Oh yeah, have used them too, but they make everything taste like fish. LOL

Maybe you could solder a small fish-hook in its place, instead ?
Then you could hang it up with fishing line !

Big A, I've tried repairing Pewter items before,and always wind up melting more than I wanted to. I love my Shark and don't want to risk it. It was a gift.
