Hey Gills, welcome aboard brother. Where in the Sac area you from? We have several guys that are really close to you prolly. Spirit lives in Lincoln. Puttcoach and Buckstar live in Sac. Others live over that way too. Put it in your profile and you should get a lot of responses. Tight lines brother.

Thanks for the replies. I live in Elk Grove. I fish the Sac Deepwater Channel, Walnut Grove, Locke and Freeport mainly. Bank fishing for now till I get a boat.

Going out after work, poles in the car and sardines in my work freezer.

Fortunately, yes I have. I been pretty darn lucky I think. I tend to catch 7-10 Striper each time I fish (Edit: Not always keepers though) While my pole is waiting for the striper bite, I often find myself fishing for bluegills which are super tasty.

We should get together sometime. What days off do you have? Is there a boat launch near you or would you rather fish from the shore? Seems like you have no trouble catchin them from shore. Good for you.

Sounds good to me. I didn't not know of the boat launches much, just a couple like Broderick ramp in Sac by the River Cats stadium.

I'm off weekends for now. If the world gets any crazier I might be off more (hope not). I'm new to Sac, moved from Los Angeles a year and a half ago.

I'm game for a fishing adventure with ya. If you've got the boat, I've got the fuel and beer.

Lots of Nor Cal people, they will be checking in I am sure. I Live in Stonyford across the valley but as soon as the "beer virus " is solved and the heat in the day is less I will. start moving around the north state.

If you are kinda new then you are doing GREAT to get on the stripers in the Sac. congrats shoot us some pics if you can everyone here loves to see pictures.
