Polarized is the way to go. You dont have to spend big bucks. I've found Berkley glasses at Wally World for less than $10 and work great. If I had a pair of Oakley or Costa glasses on, they would be the first thing overboard or to get stepped on! The last pair of Oakleys I had, got knocked off my face with a branch and went right under the mower... Cheapies for this guy!!!

Polarized sunglasses are useful But only in clear to simi clear water but not that useful in dark muddy water. I always wear sunglasses but the Polarized sunglass are not really needed except for eye protection from the sun.

I strongly agree with the YES group. True story (yes, even fishermen tell true stories....sometimes!) I was at beach fishing. Guy walks up and asks what kind of bait fish were in water, he pointed 10 feet away. I had $25 pair of polarized sunglasses and could not see fish. Guy says to try his sunglasses, so I did and was amazed at the difference! I immediately went online and bought Costa, amber lens, $100, and have never regretted it. Besides reducing glare and eye strain, they allow you to see structure below water surface much better than cheap brands. Don't know if they sell clip on's, but would guess they do. Bottom line: YES, the good polarized sunglasses are worth every penny and I'll never fish without them. They also make big difference reducing glare while driving.

Polarized glasses when fishing is the 2nd thing that is most important when fishing due to the glare off of the water. The #1 thing is UV protection. With out these 2 features in the sun glasses, you could be on your way to damaging your eyes and even losing your eye sight by getting Macular Degeneration as was told to me by my eye specialist.!!!!. Protect your eyes with a good pair of sun glasses that cover the entire eye so as to TRY and prevent the sun from entering the sun glasses.

I wear polarized clip ons. I can’t see to change the jig or re-tie my line so I have to wear my script glasses. The clip on keeps the glare from the water out of my eyes. To me it’s better than taking off sunglasses and putting on my script glasses every time I need to see what I’m doing.

They could be healthy for your eyes. They definitely improve vision when fishing. Cuts glare and you can see fish where you couldn't b4. I have never fished without them. Good for driving too. Both in and out of rainy conditions. Not really good at night but I understand that TACK glasses are good for that.

Walmart.com has a great selection of polorized glasses that go over your script glasses. They even wrap around the sides. Many pairs for around $10. My wife picked up a pair and loves hers. You don't have to pay a lot of $'s.

Made in China. That’s why they’re so cheap, because they are.

Polarized sunglasses are useful, but not necessary. They let you see through the “glare” and into the water better (better....they are not x-ray Superman vision). You can get a decent pair for pretty cheap ($10) or spend hundreds. Since you have prescription glasses, maybe try an inexpensive pair of polarized glasses that fit over your regular glasses or a set of those “clip on” ploarized lenses?

walmart.... 10$, well worth it if you ask me.... polarized all day, fishing or not unless im welding lol.... thats a diff story anyways
