I am a beginner Angler. I love crappie but can’t seem to find or catch them. I’m from DC but now live in PG. Are there any places and or tips anyone can give me to catch Crappie?

Well Dez I know where DC is and I know where Maryland is, but where is PG? Please go back into your profile and add you city to the location. I lived in Maryland 45 years ago and fished for bass but never for crappie. There are folks on the stage here from Maryland, so let us know where you're at and they'll probably show up to help.

PG is Prince George county near DC.,
Spirit ... Dez, you should find them in the Chesapeake Bay rivers - though I’m not familiar with Potomac, you may try So. MD.

The Potomac River has a ton of areas to fish for Crappie.... I fish around Occoquan and Aquia mostly, but the river has coves and grass beds that are hot spots

Welcome to FS Dez these are a few of my go to jigs and grub colors for crappie. If you don't get bites right away try a different color.

re: "Crappie fishing in DMV area"

I am pretty sure the Department of Motor Vehicles would wig out if you brought your rod and reel in.
They don't have much of a sense of humor.

Add'l to "fishing in DMV"..... what a great idea ! I would love to fish while I wait for my # to be called.

Same with going to the laundromat.... they should have a pond or a creek out back, with a reader board to let you monitor your loads' times......add a donut-coffee shop for the A.M., microbrew/street taco stand, for the P.M.......a small tackle selection....rod&reel rental............oh, the possibilities................

C'mon.........a guy can dream, can't he ?

We just pack up the washer and dryer in the back of the pickup.
One Warning: They do interrupt the fishing a lot. And you have to bring a waste water tank cuz you can't dump the soapy water back into the lake. So frankly the pond or creek outback of the laundromat is the best idea.

OK too many abbreviations -- so where is PG ? ?

Hey bru, I got PG figured out - Prince George's County in Maryland, just south of DC. But no idea what DMV would be in regards to Maryland or fishing.
