Headed to my new, for me, condo on the beach for a few days. What does anyone suggest to start. Which bait and tackle is friendly for advice and has nice selection of tackle. Fished at Melbourne several years ago . Need good advice for this time of year. Not the best time of year, but what's the point of being on the beach if not to fish !!
Thanks !!

Well Bob, welcome to the Forum. If I were you I would start with a live shrimp on the hook, and see what happens.

Hi Mr. Bob,
Try this one, they seem to have the best ratings in that area.

When you go to the bait shop ask about a scent product called Fish Bites. It comes in several flavors, shrimp, sand fleas etc. If you go to their web site there is several videos fishing in your area using the product. It can be used with other live bait or fished alone. The product works well and you don't have to worry about live bait.

Good Morning Mr. Bob The Fish,
He is correct, We would sometimes hook one end of them on the hook and slide it up to the hook eye. Then put our bait on, then swing the other end onto the hook. It will help to keep the bait from slipping off, plus you kind of make it into a sort of a weedless hook.

Don’t surf fish in front of the Costa d’ Este in low light ... there have been several people bitten by sharks there..

Mr. Bob The Fish
Falconpilot seems to know that area. Please take his advice, we want you to be safe. And don't want to see any of us get hurt. Thank you Falconpilot, I'm sure we all appreciate the advice you gave him :)

Always,
Zoey :)

Thanks All
Lots of wind blowing off the ocean kind of put the damper on today’s fishing.
Tomorrow is another day
