Hi Mr. Robichaud,
Does this include before sunrise and after sunset tides?

Can I ask what you were using for bait. We are at Atlantic Beach, went out this morning at 4 am. The guys were using live mud minnows. Two of caught a flounder and they were keepers. Beth and I have a thing about using live bait. I had a couple good hits using a Carolina rig with using frozen shinners. Beth used for the first time a Carolina rig w/ a quarter ounce bullet weight, half ounce bucktail that was green and white with a white Glup trailer.

She caught two nice flounders both undersized. I switched to the same thing but used a strip of salted squid strip. Had a great hit but lost it a few feet from the beach :( We will possibly go out tonight. If not in the morning again. I cut my thumb pretty good cutting up our salad for lunch. It hurts and stings if anything comes in contact with it. This is also the first time we have used any type of lure. We owe our thanks to the guys here on FS.

Zoey here in NC it is not legal to keep any size flounder the season opens in Aug 500.00 fine plus court cost that’s per fish also try fresh shrimp on the bottom I live in Hampstead and fish surf city and surrounding piers as well as surf but shrimp is your best bet

Hi Zoey
If you can get to a pharmacy ask them for a box of finger cots. It's like one finger of a glove. It will cover that cut and protect it but you can still fish.

Hi,
These guy's are old enough to be our Grandfather's and old enough to know. It is not our place to say anything to them.
Beth and I have been fishing with them since we were about twelve. After Dad passed away we continued to. Mom wouldn't let us out before sunrise or way after sunset unless they were there. Besides we love them to much to say anything. We know you cannot keep them and won't. And thank you, I'll go to the pharmacy and get them. Stings really bad when the water hits it.

Hi Mr. Robichaud,
I've never had much luck using shrimp. But I only tried it store bought. Still has the shell on and of course no head. I've have caught a few using cut mullet, especially using the head. I used a standard high low rig. I read on here someone would always take two rods.

One would have a fish finder rig, in the sandspike. And he would use the other for a Carolina, Texas or Alabama Bait ball and of course lures. We are considering this as well. Lol, it's hard for us to just cast and wait.

Hi Mr. Wayneg,
We are fully aware of that! Do you really want to tell two men in there seventies that basically live in shacks with there wives. That barely get enough money to let alone buy there medications let alone medical bills and food to put them back. Maybe you can because you two don't have a heart, but WE DO

AM fishing lures, glow in the dark type. Similar ver similar shape as gulp, esp the tail. The tail is a dead ringer. Thing is, these are way cheaper, saw them used at night in a video successfully for fluke. Have only been out for a minute a few weeks back , water was still in 50s , but here in nj, Temps are up and bite is crazy. Hopefully weather is conducive on Sat to fish cause that is most assuredly where I will be trying these new lurez !!

Hi Mr. Kvothe,
Thank you, we will definitely look into them. We were wondering if we should try something that glows or lights up at night.
