You're making me weepy. I haven't had morels in over 50 years. Cheesy grits with bacon and morels. That would be a proper last meal.

To each their own msmllm, but that's sacrilege for a lot of us. I'd rather cook none at all than those. You're not talking about those little grains of sand that come in those little individual packets are you? I don't know what those are, but they're not grits. Not as I know grits.

I cook it on the stove. It's not in a package. Taste like grits to me.

An ole boy down in Louisiana that cooked us a dinner out on a job site actually did hush puppies and the grit cakes - but no sorghum. Just grilled with some cajun spice sprinkled and a little butter on on top. Way good

Luv !!! me some hush puppies. Down those little doggies in no time. Haven't tried a lot of southern cooking yet.

I don't know if you can even get sorghum in California. We couldn't in Indiana - my dad's sister who lived in Arkansas used to send us a jug of it at Christmas time each year.

Check out Cracker barrel they could have it.

Yeah I’m with the fool processed cheese jalapeño Cajun seasoning slap yo mama that’s gooood! I’ve had them fried and plain season savory or sweetend molasses is better than maple or sugar southwestern Arkansas country cooking make you fat cause you can’t stop eating till the food is gone. I garontee!

We sure like the added sharp cheese - gives it a deeper flavor that meshes with the cajun and jalapeños. Close the front door or you won’t get any! Had local yocals that had never heard of grits hound me every day to make them some more. Started handing them a recipe just to shut them up - go make your own. 😂😂
