Fishing Lake Eufaula from shore for bass, crappie & catfish. Need you help & ideas.
Try crappie magnet search on line i also get bass on this plastic lure they give you a jig head they call double cross with puchase of the plastics works for me
For Eufaula, tip a Hal Fly with a minnow and use a float to control depth.
Boo rig with 1/8 ounce jig head on a number 1 or 2 hook with a pearl colored curly tail grub 2 inch.
Or the boo rig with a 2-inch Pearl tube bait on a number 1 or 2 hook.
My new go-to bait for crappies is crickets. In all my years of fishing, I had never tried fishing with them but gave in when the fishing was slow for a couple of weeks in my pond. I had my best day fishing in quite a while. I bought more crickets and went again with the same results. I had no clue how to fish with them, so I fished them like kid’s fish with redworms. I used a number 4 hook, a small split shot, and a quarter size bobber. I caught several crappies both times I used crickets and even landed a two-pound bass. No help here on catfish. Honestly, I try to avoid them.
