I normally fish creeks and rivers. At times we stop and wade in the water or even sometimes walk through the woods to bends in the water that you can’t access with a kayak. I’m hoping for some recommendations on footwear. My tennis shoes are ok I guess, but once they are wet, that aren’t very comfortable. And I’ve tried those cheap water shoes but they let small rocks in your shoes. Any suggestions?

I don’t think I’ve ever been in my kayak in anything but crocs, but they will let small rocks in. At least mine do.

I use crocs citilane shoes. Been using them for years and I love them. Inexpensive, they drain/dry fast. You can walk anywhere with them without worrying about your feet. The best part is they look like a pretty normal sneaker, I hate the look of all the weird water shoes out there. If small rocks entering is an issue consider some thin neoprene socks to go with them.

I've tried all sorts of water shoes from fancy to WalMart, and as much as I hate to admit it, turns out that Crocs are best.

I'm in Fl. I just wear $20 water shoes with a hard sole. If your going to beach your yak and walk, then just bring a pair of tennis shoes with you, and swap back when you get back in your boat.
