As I sit here snelling crappie hooks a thought came to me.

I have seen inner tubes, waders, kayaks, canoes and a lot of different boats used for fishing but don’t recall seeing a jet ski being used.

Has anyone tried it or know why it could not be used?

Not me, but I've seen it happen, you hAve to have some way to secure your tackle. It would get you into some very shallow water, depending on what you want to fish for. DEEJAY

The lifeguard/rescue unit model could probably be adapted to fishing. The screamin' yahoo model, maybe not.

Thought I had seen an add for a modified Jet Ski that was suitable for fishing, a little bit bigger and more room for tackle. Anyone Else? Just Sayin...RJS

There are numerous after market rod and ice chest racks for Jet skis. Every summer and even some in the winter we see them down here in the marsh areas and at the islands around the bays fishing.

Neighbor of mine did for about a year, only limitation was his catch storage. Stringer was useless and a cooler was out of the question. He was mostly a C & R fisher unless he caught something sizeable to take home.

Not sure who makes it, but on Pinterest I have seen a jet ski specifically outfitted for fishing. I don't believe that it was a custom thing, but an actual "fisherman's model". Had built in rod holders.
They're far too noisy for me to consider for myself, but for those who need to scoot a mile away to fish, might be an option.

Googled Fishing Jet Ski. Sea Doo makes a model they call Fish Pro! Amazing, but why not?

How about fishing from your surf board? Don't know if they still go out, but there used to be a group in San Diego that went out on the ocean and they competed to see who could bring in the largest fish. Paddle about and had rod holders affixed to their boards. Ballsy? Or crazy?

I live at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay and we have many fishermen fishing from jet skis here. Many have tricked them out with electronics, coolers, wind shields, rod holders, etc. They are able to get right up under the bridges of the bridge/tunnel complex that runs for 17 miles from Norfolk to the eastern shore of Virginia. They get close up to the piling of the bridge, fishing the rocks supporting each piling.

I have to friends, one in western NC and one in KY. Both have them rigged with rod holders.

The surfboard thing is sorta becoming a thing, only it's actually a paddle board set up specifically for fishing, cooler seats, rod holders, etc. Sea Eagle makes an inflatable version.... looks like too much work and my winner in the category of..... "best craft to lose gear from/fall off of, while casting or reeling in a fish......and remembering that you spent $1500 for this "fun tool " .
