Lakes here in North Georgia have never closed. Boat ramps have remained open. I've been fishing every week, now catching is another thing! But I'm headed off in the AM. Gonna try Carter's Lake. Stay tuned.

Same here in Virginia, our Governor is too concerned with restricting our gun ownership to think about fishers. Mike

Castaic lake in Los Angeles is open to boats as long as you practice safe distancing, the bass is pretty hot right now

Most lakes are open to fishing in Minnesota. Many docks are not in yet. The DNR is allegedly using this opportunity to work on them but I have seen docks beached at the landing but not worked on. I don't need a dock or much of a landing for my 14' Sea Nymph and 9 1/2 horse Johnson. Fishing has been great for sunfish, a little slow for crappies.

I saw a news report that BLM land is open in the west. New Melones in CA is BLM but would call to check to see if boat ramps are open before I went.

You're right there CH. Don't know why they won't let you go out by yourself in a boat and fish.

They are keeping you from having to much fun.

I live in Kentucky., I see fishing reports daily. I am not sure if they are legal. We are in a Stay st Home order.
Mike

We are all on a “stay at home order” but there are specific rules included in the orders. According to county law enforcement officials in Idaho we can fish, no lakes are closed to the public and we are not and can not be ordered to stay home or anywhere else unless we are proven to be a threat to human life. There are a bazillion conditions to our stay at home order and basically we can do anything that’s “essential” to sustaining our lifestyle but they know we can’t be forced to “stay home”. Obviously people can’t work at places that are ordered to be closed but taking away our rights is never legal in this country so they don’t enforce it. They tried but the state prosecuting attorney said no so they backed off. It’s a recommendation to voluntarily stay home or be safe and that’s what we did.

For us here in Southern Cal. all the lakes are closed. Aren't they also closed in all the states??????

All lakes and ramps here in Ohio are still open. Only restriction that I know of is party and charter boats on Lake Erie. That being said, If ya don't like fishing in rainy, windy and cold weather, what good is it? LOL Praying for warmer weather like a sinner in church.
