I did not vote for Trump and but was willing to give him the benefit of doubt, hoping that as a “War President” he could provide the leadership we need to get through the pandemic.
But with each passing day of this worsening crises, the president is showing us his playbook: blame the WHO, blame China, blame his political opponents, blame his predecessors, - do whatever it takes to deflect from the fact that his administration has mismanaged this crises and it’s now costing thousands of American lives. Trump has repeatedly ignored recommendations by scientific and medical experts, dismissing or diminishing their roll of those who don’t toe the party line, only to eventually come around and implement their advice. Then he tries to rewrite history to cover his tracks. He’s not a leader, he’s a follower. Let’s call him what he is – using his term - a FAKE president.
Back in January Trump said “I take no responsibility” and “it’s up to the states to close down”. In mid April he incorrectly claims “total authority to open up”, then finding he is wrong, back steps to “authorizing” the states to open up when the governors deem appropriate.
I fear his lack of appropriate decisions and late actions are going to cause many more avoidable deaths in our country.
Even though this topic is in the Attic politics is best left un touched on the FS. The One Political Plaza site would be better to discus political views.

Well said Plum. I've always lived by the saying about opinions.
Go to facebook if you have political gripes. No one on this site gives a damn what you think.

You’ll entice opinions squawking back and forth for days going nowhere with those kinds of comments. Not interested. Take it somewhere else.
Failure of national leadership is a new topic?😂. It’s been that way for decades. Let’s go fishing👍🎣

I’m headed to cascade lake here in Idaho fishing next Tuesday. How long will it take you to get here from CT? Big rainbows, an occasional steelhead and big perch . 👍

Pictures please?
You bet. I’ve been there three times so far and catching is always good. Hopefully I’ll get pictures of something other than an empty cooler this time. It’s fishing right? I kinda cheat though. It’s about 70 miles from my house so I made friends with the guy at the tackle shop. I always call him before I go and get a report. Told him if he ever told me wrong I’d use him for bait.😂. Not real smart. He’s a stalky retired butcher and could eat me for lunch but my approach is hit em with both barrels and hope for the best. Even a big dog will run from a mouthy poodle. Most of the time. It was all in fun and he even calls me once in a while. Keeps me posted on the current pandemic down there. Well that and he wants elk jerky🥴
