Fishing like other things is a hobby and hobbies are supposed to be relaxing and joyful. Haven't caught anything but what about the sights you saw and had the advantage to be a part with. Its not like your life depends on catching a single fish. Be thankful of the little things around you. Life is too short not to enjoy every second

So, I have been fly fishing for about 2 weeks now. I got the cast down, and caught some bluegills on a public pond in my hometown. I liked it. So I got the proper equipment to up my game. Since then, I have not caught one trout and I fell in the water. I feel like I’m going crazy here.

Had a had full of ppl there take me out on the waters 20 years later I've taken out many ppl & 3 of them have had 100+ fish days ! DON'T give up hope find a club ! A true Fly Fisherman or woman would be honored to help you!! Kevin. PA keep calm and carry a M80 LOL 😵😵😵😵
Don't sweat it. You're going to have those days. I have been a fly fisherman for 70 years, got more gear than than I know what to do with. Before we went on lock down here (the virus) I watched a guy catch 4 large sea run Cuts, in salt water, while I was getting ready, waders etc.He was just leaving,he even told me the fly they were hitting, of which I had 3, I spent over an hour in the cold and wind, not one hit. It doesn't make any difference who you are or what you;re using, you're going to have those days.
To get motivated/inspired, watch the wonderful movie, "A River Runs Through It."
Great fly-fishing scenes in it.
Any kind of fishing takes patience but after you get the hang of it you will be rewarded trout fishing is tuff u need to be very quit and be on ur game while walking in water there are a lot of great videos on u tube for any type of fishing you wanna do with great info when fly fishing remember to look at the flies in the area and try to match them and also find out whats hatching for nymph flies also. be patient. It will work out. Also water temp. And water condition is a big factor for the trout bite if the water is to cold they will be very slow to bite Tight Lines
The real question is when you fell in did you see any fish, otherwise you got wet for nothing.
And the water was grreat...
