Welcome maybe we can share some tips.
Helena, MT, been there many times, was able to fish Canyon Ferry before walleye were plentiful
Also I...moved to Casper WY. from Helena MT. 10 yrs ago. Fished and camped Canyon Ferry often amongst others.

Well good to hear from you CW and Pinkham. CW: where do you fish walleye from Gillete?
Pinkham: maybe you have some tips on canyon ferry? Big lake and still figuring it out
I don't think I ever figured it out either, was boat fishing downriggers then. It was also 10 yrs ago so outdated. If I remember I used to like large black mister twister with chartreuse tail and live shiners.

Yeah, have boat use bottom bouncers like a lot of folks do, tip with leeches or night crawlers on various types of spinner/float rigs. Slow death hooks seems to make a difference too. The color and depth is always a challenge. But hey it’s all about being out there on the water.
